Founded in 1911, by António Henriques, A.Henriques is an industrial private society still owned and runned by Henriques family.

Initially registered as a hat manufacturer, it was in 1929 that the company gave its first steps on the rubber industry, making components for shoes.

In 1940 starts production of rubber technical articles.

On the decade of 50 the first extrusion production line is installed for the production of profiles for the “Bus & Truck” industry.

In 1961 Renault starts an assembling line in Portugal which lead A.Henriques to turn direction into the very specific technical articles of the AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY.

In 1972 the Injection Moulding process starts, which turned to be the leading process of the company.

In 1995 becomes a Q101 Ford supplier and starts gaining the confidence of more and more customers of the Automotive sector as well as other technical segment markets.

In 2000 the company is certified according to ISO9002:1995.

In 2003 the quality system becomes certified as per ISO9001:2000 and in 2009 as per ISO9001:2008.
